Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of university


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work, CPR certification


Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Community health clinic or centre, Physician's office


Area of Specialization: General duty, Clinic, Community, Consulting, Operating room, Recovery room, Surgical unit


Specific Skills: Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, Collaborate to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care, Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions, Assist in surgery and other medical procedures, Provide nursing care, Provide consultative services regarding issues relevant to nursing profession and nursing practice


Additional Skills: General counselling
